Yeh Khula Aasmaan is a film which has genre of Musical, Family Drama and Motivation. Raj Tandon (Avinash) is the main character which is the epicenter of the whole movie. Avinash is an intelligent young boy who is getting through the changes which are coming in his life as he is not perfect in academic. His parents are busy in their life and they don’t have time for their son, and this attitude is bringing lot of problems for Avinash. His parents are professional oriented and leave behind their only son behind to make arrangements for getting a permanent house in London. He is under stress, depression, loneliness, confusion, and thus he plans to visit his Grandfather–Dadu–Raghuveer Yadav after number of years.

Dadu who is a person from the yester years understands that mental turmoil of Avinash. He is staying in a small town in Northern Indian which is free for the hustle bustle life of the metro, brings in calmness to Avinash. Dadu has been a kite runner of his time and he make kite as a metaphor to understand the problem in life and thus to solve it eventually. This film is a satire for the people who say that there is generation gap and the same cannot be filled in any circumstance.
